Visitor Attractions

Are you looking for added entertainment for your visitors, a way to encourage increased ticket sales and a boost to footfall?

At Rainbow Productions we work with visitor attractions across the UK, Europe, Middle East and beyond.  Clients benefitting from our services include theme parks, heritage railways, zoos, safari parks, farm attractions, museums and heritage venues. Many enlist our services to attract and engage visitors through an array of character events to help marketing activities and experiential campaigns.

We are the UK’s official supplier of licensed character events, including ‘Meet and Greets’, mini shows, narrations, treasure hunts and more! Our portfolio of licensed children’s characters includes evergreen, classic properties, as well as characters seen in current television shows, online games and featured in new film releases.

Booking and promoting appearances at your venue by a famous children’s character offers your guests another reason to visit your attraction and stay longer, particularly during school holidays or during low season. Clients report that benefits of character appearances include helping boost visitor numbers; added interactivity and engagement with family audiences; generating extra photo opportunities which visitors increasingly share across social media.

Below you’ll see a list of what we can offer when booking a character appearance with Rainbow Productions:

  • Choose from the UK’s largest, official range of licensed character appearances, including popular characters from children’s TV programmes and films
  • Whatever the aims of your events programme, for example entertaining visitors waiting in queues or greeting visitors at the entrance of a specific children’s area, our trained performers have plenty of experience of interacting with the public in a live environment
  • All characters booked through Rainbow Productions, come with trained road managers, to help make your event a success.

Rainbow Productions also manufactures licensed characters on behalf of brand owners and supplies these to visitor attractions across the globe who have invested in licensed IP for their theme parks. Examples include Cartoon Network character costumes being created for IMG Worlds of Adventure in Dubai – the world’s largest indoor theme park; famous children’s characters being created for CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort, and licensed character content for Dubai Parks & Resorts attraction. Rainbow Productions also manufactures licensed IP costume content in support of UK and global film releases and event marketing activity.

So, if you have invested in IP for your visitor attraction, we would be delighted to work together with you and the brand owner to bring to life licensed character content for you to use in your parks.

Complementing licensed character appearance programmes at visitor attractions, Rainbow Productions also creates bespoke mascot costumes.

Many attractions develop homegrown brands, in addition to investing in well-known IP character appearances on certain dates throughout the year.

We can create a custom-made mascot from scratch that will personalise your brand and help promote related lines of merchandise. We can assist in the design process or are able to turn your pre-existing sketches and ideas into real-life, functional mascot costumes, customised to meet your individual requirements.

With our broad range of experience, we’re happy to share our knowledge with you around character design, branding opportunities and fabric selections. We also offer training workshops, where we can train staff in how to communicate and perform in their new mascot costume.

Over the years we’ve worked with a broad range of visitor attractions and had the pleasure of seeing our characters and custom-made mascots featured in the press.
