Rainbow Productions holds the UK’s official licence to manage their personal appearances at public UK events on behalf of the brand owner.

CHARACTER PROFILE FOR the Smurfs

The Smurfs are a fictional colony of small, blue human-like creatures with white clothing and hats who live in mushroom-shaped houses in the forest.

There are more the 100 Smurf characters and their names are based on adjectives that describe their characteristics such as Clumsy Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Vanity Smurf and Grouchy Smurf.  Papa Smurf is the leader of the Smurfs, has a white beard and wears a red hat and trousers.

• Originally appearing in a Johan and Peewit comic in 1958, the Smurfs went on to have their own comic strip before venturing into television, movies, music and video games.
• A new Smurfs CG-animated TV series will launch on Nickelodeon in 2021.
