October set for a record-breaking number of licensed characters at BLE!

Casper the Friend Ghost events Casper the Friendly Ghost is set to make personal appearances this Halloween.

The annual Brand Licensing Europe exhibition returns to London Olympia on Tuesday 13 October. The opening day of the three-day licensing event marks the official press day and Rainbow Productions is delighted to be managing the personal appearances of a record amount of famous children’s characters on behalf of the property owners.

To date, the opening day will see the events teams at Rainbow Productions looking after all aspects of the personal appearances of 68 famous characters; day 2 will also see an unprecedented number of licensed brands – twenty four- making personal appearances on the Show Floor.
In the same week as the Brand Licensing Europe exhibition, a number of character events will also be taking place during Half Term in Scotland – a few of which are indicated, below.

During the month of October a number of Halloween-inspired events are taking place across the UK, which will also include personal appearances by licensed children’s characters such as the Moshi Monsters, Casper the Friendly Ghost and Scooby-Doo.
Peppa Pig is also heading to Westfield London and Westfield Stratford for Halloween themed events organised by the centre and Peppa’s brand owner, Entertainment One.

October 3, 10, 17, 24, 30 & 31: Shaun the Sheep will be making personal appearances at various terminals at London’s Heathrow airport.

October 3: Ben and Holly will be going to Dizzy Ducks Day Nursery in Billericay, Essex.

October 3: Peppa Pig will be going to the Children’s Bath Literature Festival.

October 4: Scooby-Doo will be visiting The Big Sheep visitor attraction in North Devon today.

October 11: The East of England Showground in Peterborough will receive a visit from Paddington.

October 11: Peppa Pig is attending the Royal Parks Half Marathon event today on behalf of charity, Tommy’s.

October 13: Press Day at the annual Brand Licensing Europe Exhibition at London’s Olympia will see a record number of licensed children’s characters taking part in the Character Parade and making appearances on the show floor, their presence managed by Rainbow Productions. Several licensed characters will also be attending the exhibition on Wednesday 14 October.

October 13: The St. Enoch Centre in Glasgow will be hosting personal appearances by The Gruffalo.

October 13 & 14: A Peppa Pig Storytelling event will take place at Cumbernauld Shopping Centre in Scotland.

October 15: The Artizan Shopping Centre in Dumbarton will host a Peppa Pig Narration event.

October 16: Today the St. Enoch Centre will receive a visit from Dora for a storytelling event.

October 16: Fireman Sam is going to the Thistles Shopping Centre in Stirling.

October 17: Katsuma from the Moshi Monsters is going to Wickstead Park in Kettering.

October 18: Tulleys Farm will host appearances by Katsuma from the Moshi Monsters.

October 20: The Discovery Museum in Newcastle has arranged for Fireman Sam to visit.

October 22: Peppa Pig will be making in-store appearances at Mothercare in Cardiff.

October 24: Sid and Diego from Ice Age will be heading to Centrale Shopping Centre in Croydon.

October 24: Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council has booked a Scooby-Doo narration event.

October 24: Nanny Plum from TV show, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, will be making in-store personal appearances at Hamleys, London.

October 25: A Bob the Builder narration event will take place today at Brent Cross Shopping Centre.

October 25: Bunn Leisure in Selsey has arranged for The Gruffalo to visit.

October 26: Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth hosts Tiny from the Clangers today and then tomorrow, October 27, Small from the Clangers heads to Spinnaker Tower.

October 27: Adventure Wonderland in Bournemouth has arranged for Scooby-Doo to visit.

October 28: Drusillas Zoo Park in East Sussex will receive a visit from Scooby-Doo.

October 28: A Little Princess Narration event is scheduled to take place at West Quay Shopping Centre in Southampton.

October 28: Peppa Pig heads to Churnet Valley Railway in Staffordshire.

October 28: Dora is going to the National Railway Museum in Shildon, Durham.

October 29: A Fireman Sam narration event takes place at Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough today.

October 30: Leo and Raph from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are going to The Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading.

October 31: Casper the Friendly Ghost will descend on Byron Place in Seaham for Halloween.

October 31: Seaquarium in Weston-super-Mare will host SpongeBob SquarePants.

October 31: Southside in Wandsworth has arranged for Peppa Pig to visit the shopping centre.

October 31: Katsuma and Poppet from the Moshi Monsters head to Crealy’s Cornwall.

October 31: Dora will be present at The Brooks Shopping Centre in Winchester.

October 31: West Somerset Railway in Minehead has arranged a visit from Scooby-Doo.
